Whew!

I love Vacation Bible School. And I get excited every year! But I am really winded when it’s over, aren’t you? I want to share a few things about our “Agency D3” (LifeWay’s VBS for 2014) experience that you may be interested in.

First of all, I want to thank the 38 workers and helpers who volunteered their time. Some were not able to be here every day, but all were extremely helpful when they could be here.

Next, let’s look at some numbers: we enrolled a total of 93 children, with a high attendance day of 83, and an average attendance for students of 74. That’s a tremendous turn-out.

The best part was that 10 children made a decision to follow Jesus this week. They either prayed to receive Christ as their Savior or told us about having done it in the last few months (this being the first open witness they might have made). Some of these decisions are from children who attend other churches, and we will be working with others to get them actively involved in church.

In related matters, we will be viewing a special movie (Rocket Pack Jack) related to this year’s VBS theme tonight at 6:00, and you can begin praying now for next year’s “Journey Off the Map.”
